2 Weeks In and Tired
Well, as you can imagine, we are.....Sleepy. We have spent any free second we may have dealing with work drama and house stuff, so we are just now getting back to the blog. Grandma Carol is streched thin with responsibilities, but she managed to make us a couple dinners, which were great! However, without her and with Larry and Gail only available for a weekend, we were short on help this time around. Grandma Gallagher "G.G." was our saving grace. She arrived a few days before Brody and was the extra set of hands I don't think we could have done without.

Everything thing about #2 has been different, everything. Of course the basics remain the same, but the difference in the details keeps us guessing. For instance, Brody is not interested in the pacifier or "chooch". We are not giving up on it yet, and Caden helps us by trying to give it to him when he cries. And that, or should we say Caden is the biggest difference. Love is limitless, time is not. When both end up needing something at the same time, someone is getting bumped, and for us, that has been the biggest challenge. Definite heartache. Caden, for the most part, has been wonderful. He is soooo loving and gentle, and believe me, gentle is something we have worked on for about 18 months. It is nice to see that he grasps the concept. Caden imitates Brody's coos and squeaks in a whisper sort of tone, and strokes his head and gives him Eskimo kisses, it is really very sweet. Alas, we know it will not last, so for the time being we try to enjoy their interactions with sort of a adoring nervous vigilance.

"Truck on Brody.", Nooo, no trucks on Brody Honey.
