Weekend Play & Some Fun Pictures
So, when you start outgrowing your maternity clothes, you've got to be pretty close right??? I think I only have one or two shirts that fully cover my belly!
We had a fun weekend full of play dates for Caden. On Saturday we met with a co-worker and her son Jack. Jack is Caden's age and Caden's size (not something we find very often). They were a great match. We met at the park and played there for a while, then we headed to the beach. Jack and Caden played around each other for a while, then with some encouragement they "shared" a few trucks (really it was more like trading, but it worked well!). Jack was a little more aggressive at first (probably because he's around lots of other kids in daycare). At one point, he started taking water out of the bucket with a shovel and poring it on Caden. Caden just looked at us very confused and a bit upset. We told him that if he didn't like it to say "no". So he did and moved away. It was really cute. After that he seemed to have more confidence. We only had one pushing incident towards the end of the day. This time Caden was the aggressor. We think that Jack was going for his big yellow truck. He didn't knock him down, but it did startle him. Caden said something that sounded like sorry and gave him a kiss (with our encouragement). We are going to try to get together more often; Josette and Jack live up near Mom in Viera.
Sunday we had another fun afternoon at the beach. We were able to meet with Andrea, Zach, their two sons Francisco and Laren, and a friend of theirs. We met Andrea and Zach through Michael and Michelle. They all went to college together. Who would have ever thought that we would live a few blocks down from a couple who went to school with my brother in Philly! Francisco is 6 and Laren will be 4 in February. At first Caden was a little over whelmed and fascinated with all then energy around him. Then we were surprised with his confidence. He would try to trade trucks with Laren, smash Francisco’s sandcastles (that's our fault we make him sandcastles to smash) and steal his shells! He also seemed to be taken with Laren, he followed him around to watch what he was doing. Darren took Caden into the water for a while and he loved it! It was a really nice day.
I'm having pretty consistent contractions, but they don't seem to be going anywhere. We'll keep everyone posted!
Below are some pictures I thought everyone would like:

What kind of hat is on that poor child's head?
And I want LIZ pictures! C'mon now. You can't say you are popping out of maternity clothes and not show us!
And I'm so glad you got to meet the McKinleys.
Love!
